Lauretta Records is looking for the next Benny Blanco, WondaGurl, Pharrell Williams, Mark Ronson, Linda Perry, or SOPHIE. It is you?

Are you ready to share your latest song, your latest track, your unreleased record?? Have you been spending hours honing your sound in hopes to be heard and collaborate with incredible recording artists? We are looking for the next up-and-coming producer to apply to the Next Gen Music Contest.

HOW TO SUBMIT

  • Create a dope track (more than 1 min, less than 4 min)

  • Fill out the google form and upload your track (WAV or mp3 format) before MAY 2nd 11:59pm.

Lauretta Records, in partnership with Titan Public Relations of CSUF, is calling all undergraduate artists, producers, and songwriters to participate in a musical competition for the world of TV/Film. Open to all undergraduate college students in California, your goal is to write and produce a song that you believe could be placed on your favorite TV show like Euphoria or All American, movies like ShangChi, commercials like Nike, or video games like The Witcher.

Submit your entry by MAY 2, and winners will be announced on MAY 10. First place winner will be given a cash prize up to $300, a year of mentorship with the Lauretta Records team, an invitation to a listening party and have them as our guest IG Live. In addition to the grand prizes, contestants are given the opportunity to get some exposure to professionals who are more than willing to give constructive feedback.

RULES, REGULATIONS, and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • If using samples, they must use royalty free samples (i.e. Splice, Output, Pond5, etc.)

  • Must be an original track (no covers) 

  • Must be an unreleased track.

  • Does not have to contain vocals.

  • If your track does contain explicit lyrics, you must also submit a clean version. 

  • Student who submits must be unsigned but can have representation.

  • Submissions with derogatory or offensive themes will be disqualified. 

  • Submissions must name all writers and producers involved in the song. 

  • We are not accepting submissions from signed artists or producers. 

  • Winners of this contest are not promised contracts, deals, placements, or anything beyond outlined prize winnings. 

  • Must be at least 18 years of age. Age cannot exceed 25.

  • Only one submission per producer.

  • Winners are invited to attend Listening Party in Downtown LA. Lauretta Records will not provide transportation to and from the event.
