Caroline Ashkar
Los Angeles native, Caroline Ashkar is a singer/songwriter with a natural ability to string together captivating lyrics and enchanting melodies. Caroline’s folky but sultry sound is accentuated by her entrancing vocals, mesmerizing all who listen. From San Francisco to San Diego, Caroline has played over 50 shows throughout the coast of California, including sold-out shows at Hotel Cafe, Silverlake Lounge, and multiple Sofar Sounds. After accumulating years of performance experience in the LA music scene and the release of her two EPs The Acoustic EP and The Follow Up, Ashkar is gearing up to bring us under her spell in a series of new singles releasing in Fall 2022.
Caroline’s new sound is a versatile blend of deep soulful melodies and thoughtful resonance which parallels Maggie Rogers and Sara Bareilles and is perfect for fans of Ingrid Michaelson and FEIST.
In 2018, Caroline co-created the Belles project that went on to be licensed with Position Music and has had multiple placements. Now partnering with Lauretta Records to share her alluring sound that will illuminate any story in the world of TV/Film.
Upon receiving her Master’s in social work from USC, Caroline was able to bring together her passion for photography, film, and music by documenting people around the world. Caroline currently works for a Los Angeles nonprofit, educating teens in the arts through creativity.
