Lauretta Records is an independent music label based in Los Angeles, California with a unique focus on supporting underestimated artists to develop their voice and brand in a new way.
We believe tv & film are the new radio to move music forward and an incredible arena to give songs a space to be shared.
Our Work
With fresh music and a diverse roster, we specifically bring our music to television and film licensing spaces in hopes to give artists a more sustainable pathway.
We partner directly with companies based in Los Angeles, New York, and Nashville. Together we have placed over 60 songs in the last three years from movie trailers, promotional pieces, television shows, and national commercial campaigns.
Our Founder & CEO
Katrina Frye (she/her)
Founding indie music label Lauretta Records in 2020 from her living room floor, Katrina Frye seeks to create space for people like her in the music industry. People who have hustled yet feel unseen. People who love the music process but hate the exclusivity. Determined to engage indie artists in a sustainable way Katrina offers her 10 years of music industry experience to her community. Completing the A2IM’s Black Independent Music Accelerator Program in 2022, Katrina feels more energized and ready to support the next chapter of music makers.
By giving artists education and access to information, she believes empowered artists make our entire industry stronger. Among everything else, Katrina is an adjunct college professor, part-time business consultant, full-time mother + wife, and a cruise surfer + skater.
